We are bringing an ISI national event back to the Bay State — Massachusetts!

The 2027 ISI World Recreational Team Championships, hosted by The Center Skating Academy, kicks off July 28 and runs through Aug. 1 at the New England Sports Center (NESC) in Marlborough, Mass. Test and entry deadline is May 19.

Considered the largest national recreational competition, ISI Worlds draws competitors from across the United States and several foreign countries. Competitors of all ages and skill levels may choose from more than 25 different skating event categories for individuals, partners, groups, and teams.

ISI Benefit Show

One of the most exciting highlights of Worlds is the ISI Benefit Show, featuring Worlds participants (selected at the event) and a “star” skater. In recent years, star skaters have included Isabeau Levito, Alysa Liu, Mariah Bell, and Bradie Tennell. Stay tuned for our 2027 star skater!

Competitors’ Party

The Worlds Competitors’ Party is always a fun time for Worlds skaters and their families, as it offers an opportunity to catch up with friends made at other ISI national and local events. It’s also a great way to meet new friends! More details will be announced closer to Worlds.

New England Sports Center (NESC)

The New England Sports Center boasts eight full-size ice rinks, two practice rinks, two restaurants, a snack bar, a large “mall” with a viewing area overlooking the ice rinks, an arcade room, a pro shop, and 50 team rooms.

Marlborough

The historic town of Marlborough was founded in 1665 and grew into a major manufacturer of shoes. Today, the quaint, walkable town features popular restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, pubs, and boutique stores. It also offers a variety of parks and trails for exploration and family-fun activities (miniature golf, bowling, arcade games, go-karts, ropes course, escape room).

Marlborough is located about 25 miles from Boston, making it a convenient jumping-off point to all of the top attractions in “Beantown.”
