Event Location: Alpha Ice Complex

2026 WORLDS HEADS TO “CITY THAT BUILT AMERICA!”
It’s only fitting that the 2026 ISI World Recreational Team Championships takes place in Pennsylvania, the state of Independence, during the same year that America celebrates its Semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marking the nation’s founding.
Scheduled July 28–Aug. 1 at Alpha Ice Complex in Harmarville (just minutes from Pittsburgh), Worlds will be hosted by Ice & Blades of Western Pennsylvania Skating Team.
Presenting sponsors include Skates U.S., the authorized importer/distributor of EDEA boots, blades and accessories; 84 Lumber (headquartered in Pittsburgh), the nation’s largest privately held supplier of building materials; and Point Park University Rowland School of Business, which offers undergraduate and graduate business programs, including a unique sports, arts, entertainment and music offering where students learn from professionals in the field.
Considered the largest national recreational ice skating competition in the country, ISI Worlds draws competitors from across the United States and several foreign countries. Competitors of all ages and skill levels may choose from more than 25 different skating event categories for individuals, partners, groups and teams.
The more events you enter, the more points you can earn for your team and the more medals you take home. The team earning the most collective points takes home the Michael Booker Trophy, named for the former British figure skating champion, Olympian and ISI president.
WORLD’S COMPETITORS’ PARTY
The World’s Competitors’ Party is always an awesome time for Worlds skaters and their families, offering an opportunity to catch up with friends made at other ISI national and local events. It’s also a great way to meet new friends who share the same love of skating. The party, with music provided by a DJ, is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 at the Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena (PISA) at 22 Rich Hill Road in Cheswick, just 2.4 miles from Alpha Ice Complex.
Tickets are $15 per participant or $12 each for group tickets (10 or more). Food and drink will be available for purchase at concessions. Parents and chaperones are invited (free of charge) to relax in the bar, overlooking the field, where all the dance action will take place. Beverages will be available for purchase.

ISI BENEFIT SHOW
One of the most exciting highlights of Worlds is the ISI Benefit Show, featuring Worlds participants (selected at the event), a “celebrity” skater and winners of the ISIA Education Foundation’s “Skate with the Stars” raffle. We are pleased to announce that 2026 Olympian and 2024 World Silver Medalist Isabeau Levito will headline the ISI Benefit Show at 7 p.m. Friday, July 31 at Alpha Ice Complex in Pittsburgh, Pa.

ALPHA ICE COMPLEX
While Pittsburgh’s three rivers won’t be frozen in July, Alpha Ice Complex’s three sheets of quality ice certainly will be.
Situated approximately 14 miles from downtown Pittsburgh and conveniently located just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike, approximately 30 miles from the new Pittsburgh International Airport, the arena is the city’s premier skating facility. It is the only rink in the city with three sheets of ice and ample seating.
