Improve Your Skills & Have Fun This Summer!

Whether you want to improve your skating skills over the summer or just enjoy some unique and fun on- and off-ice opportunities, there’s a skating camp and/or clinic just right for you!

Check out the following camps and clinics to get your summer off to an “ice start!”

Canlan Sports

Romeoville, Ill.

All camps are from 9 a.m. to noon

Skate Strong Power Camp, July 13-17

This on- and off-ice camp will use drills and techniques to make the most of each push on the ice, increasing strength and power for skaters learning crossovers and those achieving double jumps. Skaters will work on core strength, leg muscles and overall conditioning needed for on-ice success. (Two hours on ice, one hour off ice).

Competition Fun Camp, July 20 – 24

Designed for the skater who is new to competing, this camp they will teach routines and provide an overview of what is entailed in attending a local competition. Current newer competitors will explore other ways to compete, such as music interpretation, compulsories and ensemble team. Skaters will also create decorations and logos for a “competition,” which will be held on the last day of camp. Parents and guardians will be invited to watch their skaters compete.

Theater on Ice Camp, July 27 – 31

Skaters will create a group routine that tells a story through props, costumes and choreography. Skaters will help with choreography, props and costuming. This camp is a fan favorite, so don’t miss it! Everyone is invited to watch the full routine on the last day of the week.
